Opening to Novel one in Coffee Girl Series

It seems like women everywhere like to believe in the urban myths about relationships. You know
the myths I am talking about. Fairytales about players settling down and becoming solid husbands.
The happy story about a friend or a friend who meet a millionaire for cocktails and overnight became
a socialite. Or, my personal favorite, the story of a girl who fell in love with a man who only saw her
has a friend with benefits and then decided to marry her because he fell head over heels. My inner
question is why do these myths survive? Is it because women in this era are afraid to face the truth in
life? Could it be that the only way to convince a young woman to hit the dating scene is to enthrall her
into unfounded faith that men can change?

Still, men do not change. If you want to date the most beautiful man at college, be prepared to
discover he doesn’t have eyes for only you. If you fall in love with your humping post, be prepared to spend
the next year trying to win his heart but failing. If a man doesn’t want to introduce you to the friends in his
life, be prepared to always be his dirty little secret.

Of course all myths come from a grain of truth, but they are fabricated from the small truth into
a larger than life story. For example the player did settle down, when the stick had two pink lines, but when
his wife and kids hit the hay, he hits the night club. Thinking about that girl who met a millionaire for cocktails,
well sure she met a rich man, but he wasn’t a stud muffin and Viagra became a mandatory part of dinner.

I guess my biggest question is do you believe in these myths? The answer to the question is almost always
yes, and that is why I have a job. They call me the Coffee Girl. I am a professional match maker who works at a coffee
house on my college campus. I am just like a bar tender who gets an overloaded need for advice from men, only I work
    with women.

There is major truth in the saying “I like my men like I like my coffee” because every customer I have from
the Frappe to the Espresso has a satisfying happy ending. How do I do it? Well, instead of seeking out the most handsome
men on campus and lining up free-for-all dates I look at their hearts. The best relationships are not founded in physical
beauty, but instead in sexual attraction with a deeper connection. Sometimes overlooking a man because he has curly
hair, isn’t super rich, or doesn’t drive a sports car is the downfall a woman has. You can’t begin to believe the soft,
passionate touch a man with glasses has. Nor can you imagine the humor, and sexual skills a construction worker has.
After all, they build for a living so they are really good with their hands.

Trust me, let me make you a cup of coffee, download your situation, and I’ll hook you up with Mr. Right.
Or, if you don’t have the time to hit up my place, stop in to my column in the university newspaper, “Coffee Girl”, and
get my personal experience in making a relationship work. Since we all know, those who can do and those who can’t
teach. And, baby, I am one hell of a teacher.

    A WHOLE NEW NIGHTMARE

Love…well, that seemed like the best way to start the story, oh so, long ago. It wasn’t. Who am I kidding? Death, lust, and fear would have been a better way to start the story. BTW, I finally taught that walrus to ride a bike, and I didn’t need my training wheels. Well, this time my clicker works, so, on with the show…er…book folks.
After what I am sure was some time, my eyes fluttered open again. My head was pounding like a sledgehammer. Darkness surrounded and engulfed me, and a plush fabric was laying over me, wrapped around my whole body. Was I trapped somewhere? Could I be buried alive? Seriously, I know Sky hates me that much.
I could hardly breathe. My face was hot and clammy. Where was the string for a dead ringer when you needed one?! Before I knew it I screaming out in fear as I quickly sat up.
Blankets flew backward with the jolting of my body, it seemed that was what I had been trapped beneath? Gingerly, I touched the pulled cotton of the bright pink bedding. These were my blankets, from the house that was burned down. With confusion as to how I could be holding a ruined object I surveyed the area.
The room was two stories tall with a half room width second story. The room, itself, was really large, and painted a subtle salmon color. Posters, pictures, and mixed wall paper pieces covered the walls like the inside of a teen girl’s scrapbook. I blinked a few times because I didn’t know this room, and it wasn’t mine, despite having my bedding and teddy bears. There was no way I could own such a big house or all of the exquisite furnishings that lavished my surroundings.
    “Sammie, are you awake yet?”
I froze. My heart was shattering. That was my mother’s voice.
My mother entered the room, causing the door to crinkle against the carpet. I looked up at her with tears in my eyes, and my heart sank.
Was this heaven? It wasn’t possible for this to be anything else because my mother was dead. I saw her body in those flames while I fought Melzabar, and I was still blaming myself for her death. This must be a dream!
“Get dressed sweetheart.” Mother drew back the curtains allowing rays of pale yellow sunlight to pour across the floor.
The brightness overpowered me and I began rubbing my eyes for clarity in vision. “Dressed for what?”
    “School, silly,” She replied.
“Why am I going to school?” I shook my head. Last year I had graduated from high school, and I hadn’t had the courage to rush off to state college yet. I had worked so hard to graduate a year earlier than I should have. What was mom talking about?
“Because you aren’t sick anymore.” She was a just as I remembered her, clad in a floral, handmade apron with the smell of white chocolate, caramel brownies lingering around her.
“Sick?” I mumbled as a question, and pinched myself because I knew this had to be a dream, only the pinch hurt. So, I wasn’t dreaming, and I wasn’t in heaven? Where was I?
“Yes, sweet heart. You’ve been taking medication for the flue for a good three days,” my mother replied.
My jaw dropped, and my eyes flew wide. There was nothing that could keep me from flipping out as badly as I was.
In terror I grabbed fistfuls of my hair and shook my head trying to escape the words. Then, locks of my hair fell down in front of my eyes, and I really lost it.
“I’m blonde!” I looked at the dangling strands of hair in utter bewilderment and fear. “What happened to my auburn hair?”
“You’re the head cheerleader, sweetie. You dyed it freshman year, remember? It’s unheard of to have a warm haired leader.” My mother shut the door behind her.
I ran my hands down my body and into my lap, when I happened to feel the leather-bound diary that was Falcon’s and saw my engagement ring. Falcon and magick couldn’t possibly be a dream, not if I still had the two things from my reality that I hadn’t handed over to Mazeena.
Head cheerleader, blonde, and still in high school? What is going on! Where am I?
That was how my day started. One day I’m fighting demons, and the next I am in a whole new world without the man that I love. Normality was something I had always wanted to regain after meeting Bonnie-Kate, but how is this possible?
Swiftly, I unclasped my Arched Wing necklace to drop my engagement ring around the chain, and then I rushed out of my bedroom without thinking about what my Mother would say.
Falcon, I needed to find Falcon, and he had to be somewhere in this world. Hell, even if he was at the North Pole, I would find a way to him.
As I sprinted out the front door, I slipped on a pair of flip flops, and grabbed the nearest coat. I looked kind of funny in my care bear, PJ pants, and a floral, trench coat. Bed head had attacked my scalp, but I didn’t care, didn’t even brush it. Knowing my hair was blonde was enough, I didn’t believe I could handle seeing it that color.
I dashed down the gravel driveway, kicking up rocks with each step.
Was it true that I was still trapped in the horrid hallways that were high school conformity. Wait, high school? Ms. Kozaki was a witch, and she kept a crystal on a chain in the history classroom. I could Skry with it! Now, all I required was a way in which to get to the high school, despite how much I yearned to avoid the sea of snobby teenagers and green-gray lockers.
Slowly, an expensive SUV pulled into the driveway. Jennifer pushed past me, and headed for the car.
I paused. What was up with Jennifer? She was wearing neon, clip in extensions in her hair, and a fishnet sleeved blouse. Was she all Emo now? Hold it my sister didn’t cruise the sale bins at Hot Topic, she rampaged the clearance section at American Eagle, and Aeropostale.
“Jennifer, what are you doing?” I reached out for my punked out sister.
Jennifer turned and smiled. “Come on, Mariah doesn’t have all day.”
My sanity, what little I had left, skidded to a halt. “Mariah?” It was true, I needed medication. Everything time I finally become convinced that the paranormal changes around me were real, and that I was not, in fact, clinically insane, something like this would happen. First I was a semi-normal teenager who was drug into the surrealism of being trapped under debris in Scotland, and now I was a witch confined to the blue skies of normality!
The car window came down, and Mariah leaned out of the car.
“Come on loser. Your Caramel Frappe is getting warm,” Mariah laughed out the window. “Gonna ignore your BFF now?”
Just like an anime character, my jaw hit the gravel covered ground. “BFF….BFF!”
Mariah was joking, she just had to be joking. There was no way on God’s green earth that I would willing spend all my time with Mariah as best friends, let that I would even consider her a person worth having any kind of positive relationship with. Then again, she was going to the school. No reason to look a gift horse in the mouth.
With the determination to find Falcon playing at my mind, I climbed into the passenger’s seat, and flipped off the top of the iced-coffee. Once again, a gift horse, a caramel flavored one.
Sitting in the back seat was a girl from my school named Betsy Cosgrove. She was one of the cheerleaders, and I recalled her being the biggest gossip in school. Although, she may have had loose lips, she was always a reliable source.
Betsy had beautiful, light black skin, and huge green eyes. Her pin tight curls were pulled back into a high pony tail. She smiled, pulling out her camera, and tossing it up to me.
“I got the dirt,” Betsy laughed. “Ms. Kozaki said she had a vision of the future, I know weird, huh? Well, she was all like I need to have a college grad student to assist me at the high school, and like totally pushed in through.”
“What does that have to do with your phone?” I asked. Reliable, yes. Brief, no.
“Then Mr. Rue said the same thing, and picked a Grad intern too!” Betsy giggled.
“They some geeky girls?” Mariah laughed. “Uber lame. It’s Toe Up.”
“Oh, No, they aren’t geeky or girls. Check the pictures. The first guy is Ms. Kozaki’s dude. The two dudes they are brothers. You’ll be shocked, Sam! Totally shocked!” Betsy took a long slug of her iced-coffee. Looked like my group of friends has a Starbucks addiction, but, then again, I had the same problem in my world too.
I flicked into her phone photos. My eyes widened. “Dru.” I almost dropped the phone.
“Yep, he is so gonna be at school, in class with you, like every day. Are you stocked or what?” She waited for my replied, but I was too baffled to even speak. “The second is Mr. Rue’s.”
I flicked to the second. “Falcon!” I screamed as the car pulled into the school parking lot. Mariah was at a stop, idling to find a space to park. Without even considering the face that Betsy had be talking about Dru as if we all knew him, I opened the door and leapt out of the car. I hurriedly headed toward the school door, the thought about what Betsy said starting to kick in. Quickly, the thought was dismissed, I mean, they probably all know him because he is my boyfriend’s brother.
“What is up with the PJ pants?” Someone shouted. I didn’t care. I kept running, going right past them, with Betsy chasing me all the while.
I stormed through the high school halls, pushing past people. Getting to the history classroom was my goal, and nothing and no one was going to detour me from my chosen path. Now that I had solid proof, from the cell phone still in my hand, that Falcon was alive, I needed to find him.
As I entered the history classroom, I turned, tossed Betsy her phone, and then slammed the door in her face, locking it behind me. No time was wasted, within seconds I was rummaging through desk drawers to find that crystal.
A noise startled me, I looked up. “Ms. Kozaki?” I asked. “But the door is…”
“Locked,” Ms. Kozaki said, finishing my sentence. “Doors do not bind me. I suppose you are looking for my Skrying crystal?”
“Yes.” I looked down in shame. “I need to find…”
“Your love,” Ms. Kozaki finished for me, again, blowing on a candle. A flame appeared onto the candle’s once empty wick.
“A while ago I would have freaked out from that…but now…”
“Now you know you are a witch. I sensed the shift of worlds my dear. I am a high priestess. A Templar Woman chosen to guide you to the men holding the Tana De Dan Soul.”
My heart leapt in my chest. “I always wondered. In high school, in my world, you always had something to teach me, some place to send me. Getting a passport was your idea.”
Ms. Kozaki pounded on the desk, and a secret drawer opened. Carefully, she extracted the crystal. “I lead you on the correct path. The choice is now yours to make. I can however offer you this.” Ms. Kozaki handed me the crystal. “I’ll see you, in time,” She vowed.
“See me in time, wait, are you not…?” I swallowed hard.
“Part of this world? I am not a human Templar. Oh, and Sam, just so you know this world is very different from yours. To start with this is not New York State.” Ms. Kozaki vanished.
I turned to see a map laying on one of the desks. With great determination I held the crystal, dangling by its chain, over the map, and watched it swing back and forth. After a few minutes of endless strain on my out stretched arm, the crystal dropped onto a location. “The university. MacMillan Dorms. Got’cha.”

Hello: from Katherine Petersdorf. As promised on facebook, I have two chapters on my next novel posted. For background information you can read Arched Wing, the novel is for sale on amazon right now.

This is the chapter with a huge secret to the series in it, I hope that you enjoy the paranormal romance.

    2

    An Evil Falcon

I stood outside of the MacMillan Dorm hall. The cold breeze was in my hair. Would Falcon like the way I looked now, or was he use to me being so posh, popular looking? My once auburn hair was now a lemony blonde, with choppy, shoulder length layers that framed my face. Call me Hayden, cause I swear I was all Bring it On styled after her.

Without a dash of mascara, my big, mahogany colored eyes were not highlighted, I wished I had stopped and put on makeup this morning. My pale white skin sparkled in the sunlight, I wasn’t sure what time of the year it was, but I was sure that it was a very bright place that I was living.

Maybe it was possible that I was back where I started? Could I still be living with my family, in high, only I wasn’t in Night’s Kill, I was living in Toledo: a small town south of Olympia, the capital. Toledo was a thirty-minute bus ride from the college, which was an outlet for the University. To top it all off, the mirror of destiny was here, and it looked like, based off of leaving the house this morning, that I was living next to my mirror.

Bit by bit, the truth was sinking in. Home, my world, my actions, they were all gone. Odette most likely didn’t have the Grimmior, then again, who knows. Could I take another surprise. I reached for the door handle.

Awkwardly, I paused, I wasn’t sure what to do or say. Would Falcon know me? Would Falcon be the same person? Would I see him with a different woman? How did this world get like this? I needed answers.

I thought back to what Sky had sad before I passed out, how she had told me she was going to steal my man. Had she done this to my world, changed it? She could manipulate time and space, and she could seek out and find new alternate worlds. That must be where I was, an alternate reality. Great, now my life is a Sci-fi novel!

In the past, before I met Falcon and faced off with Gramhach, I would have thought that this was all a dream. I would have overlooked the paranormal realities before me. Rationality would have set in, and medication would have been asked for. Then again, if I hadn’t meet Falcon, waking up popular would have all seemed normal to me, but now, with my destiny shown to me, magic is what is normal.

Yanking with all my might, I attempted to open the dorm door. However, I quickly discovered it was locked, so, I turned and looked next to me. There was a slider for a key card, but I wasn’t going to let that keep me from seeing Falcon. “Open for me,” I whispered to it.

The door made a beeping noise, and this time I was able to pull it open. This was it, the almighty threshold that contained the path to Falcon, to my answers, but, most importantly, to a secret I wished I had known back in the car this morning.

That rationally part of my mind (because I’m so rational, as if) said that Sky couldn’t steal Falcon from me. I mean, he loves me, he waited his whole immortal life, searching, to find and train me, and love me. There is living proof, a demon named Belthazar, that Falcon and I are soul mates. Sky can’t change that, and Sky can’t take what doesn’t belong to her.

Still, what was it that Sky had altered. This world didn’t just randomly become dramatically different than my own, while still following the same timeline. Something was different in the past, something huge. I would have to discover what it was.

I stood in the dorm’s main hall, watching people pass by. A group of giggling girls rushed pass to catch the opening elevator. They were so pretty. Once again, my heart, filled with low self esteem in romance, was afraid Falcon was with another woman. I had an image of him with the whole group, doing horrid things, painted all too clearly in my mind.

Why didn’t I believe he was only in love with me? Dru had the lush, vixen Christian follow him all around, and I never once question his feelings for me. Wait, why would I, I mean, I don’t love Dru…right?

Oh, how I wish I was Piper Halliwell, then I wouldn’t have to worry if Falcon was with another woman, I could just blow her up. No bitch was going to take my man!

Time wasn’t on my side, Falcon might leave and I could miss him. The map in the classroom gave me his location broadly speaking, now I needed a room. I turned to the bulletin board and yanked the printed copy of the room layout off the wall.

The man behind the desk looked at me like I was insane, but I didn’t care. Swiftly, I dropped the printed map onto a table, yanked the crystal from my pocket, and started to Skry again.

It dropped quickly, floor three-room twenty-six. Now that the map didn’t matter, I simply left it on the table as I headed for the elevator. The crystal, on the other hand, I shoved back in my pocket, I might need it again.

Sadly, I did look like a complete freak, but I wasn’t going to let my pride keep me from my destiny. That destiny being finding Falcon and enjoying a sweaty moment of greatly needed passion.

Falcon was the air that I breathed. He was my heart’s love song. Oh, great, now I sound like a clingy weak girl in one of those cheesy novels. Okay, Sam, get a grip!

What if Falcon didn’t know my name? What if Falcon wasn’t a half demon? What if Falcon was a full demon? What if Falcon was evil? (Could I possibly use What if one more time? I’m driving myself crazy!)

Could I handle it if Falcon was evil? I didn’t want to be like Katherine. She cared more about being good, and doing the right thing for this world that she left Belthazar, her true love. I am her reincarnation, does that mean I will choose Dru, because he is a human with no evil trace? Or, will I be my own persona, and pick the dangerous brother?

“You just seem to get more beautiful every day,” I heard the voice, and turned on my heel. I knew who it was. That was Dru.

“Dru,” I stated his name as neither a question nor exclamation. “Are you here for Falcon?”

“No, I am here for you. The seer Mazeena found me, and told me what happened to you last night. The you of your world.” Dru had been leaning against the wall, across from the elevator.

The shadows of the hallway arches played on his perfectly chiseled face. Like sparkling beacons, his shatter blue eyes called out to me, and his midnight hair was inviting as it brushed his neck. He was looking as handsome as ever. I mean, um…er, just like Falcon. Right, yah, he looks just like Falcon, that is the only reason I think Dru is attractive.

“I know that you’re stuck in this alternate reality, at least alternate from your own.” Dru straightened up so he was no longer leaning.

“You know what is going on!” I rushed to his side, and hugged him just as tight as I could. “Finally, I know I’m not crazy.”

“No, actually I only know what Mazeena told me. She told me about you raising her, the team of Wingers, and about you being sent to this new world.” Dru embraced me back. He hand was gently petting my hair, his grip so tight, yet loving. It was like he was hanging onto my affection for dear life.

Long moments passed, us holding each other. I could help it, snuggling down into his arms, allowing the rush of heat radiating from his body to overpower me.

“She told me about the Falcon and Dru of your world.” Dru kissed the top of my head.

“Can you help me get back?” I asked, pulling away from Dru’s warm chest.

“No,” Dru said with sorrow in his eyes. “I wish I could. I’d do anything for you. Besides, your world has something about it that makes it a little better than this one, at least, in some areas.”

“It does?” Now I was curious. What did my world have that his didn’t, other than a Sam who didn’t love Clairol too much?

I closed my eyes to listen, maybe Dru would think it. I wanted the answer right then.

“Yes, also about what you were thinking just now…”

“You were listening in on me?” I demanded turning and storming off.

“You did it to me,” Dru toyed.

I am so killing Mazeena! “What about what I was thinking,” I shot, stiffly.

“You don’t know the whole story about Katherine. She could have left Odette bound with the book, like you planned. Once someone bonds with the Grimoire you can destroy it.”

“Maybe she didn’t know.” I was being hopeful. If Katherine had know, and chosen not to act, then she would have been choosing Belthazar.

“She knew. Katherine also knew that if she destroyed the Grimoire that Belthazar, who is blood and soul bound to it would be destroyed as well. She chose to hide his book instead of save this world because she loved him more than she loved mankind.” Dru didn’t look away as he spoke, he didn’t blink. His eyes stayed locked with mine. It seemed, Dru wanted the truth to be very clear to me.

I gasped. “That is a lie!” I placed a hand to my heart. “Katherine you have to tell me it is a lie!”

    Katherine didn’t say anything.

“You can hear her?” Dru caressed my cheek. Though, it didn’t feel like he was trying to get to Katherine. Thankfully, he always treated me like Sam, and never compared me to Katherine. At least, he never did out loud. “Does she tell you what to do sometimes?” He asked with interest in his eyes. “Does she make you weak? Katherine was a weak woman when it came to men. My Sam could hear her too, but she used a spell to remove her voice.”

“What, are you in love with Katherine?” I asked.

“No.” Dru ran his finger down my neck, and across my collar bone. Shivers of delight shot down my spine. “I love you.”

“Me?” The world must have just stopped spinning. “I love,” I almost said ‘you too.’ It is official, I have lost my mind! “I mean, well, you know…” Now, I was rambling. I didn’t love Dru. I couldn’t stand Dru, all we did around each other was fight.

“Because you won’t admit to yourself how you really feel.” Dru leaned forward and kissed me. Automatically, though I shouldn’t have, I started to kiss him back.

Thankfully, he pulled away. “I know you are in love with Falcon, so, I won’t stop you from seeing him. I just want you to know that I am here for you. And you are going to need me,” Dru warned.

I smiled. “Thank you.” As a reward for being so nice to me I kissed him again, but only as a reward. It did feel good, though. “You know, if you were nice like this all the time, instead of a bossy trainer, we could be great friends.”

“We are.” Dru smiled, a real smile, without a trace of lust in his eyes. In fact, I wasn’t sure what emotion was in his eyes, but it made his face so soft, like he was glowing with joy.

I pressed the elevator button, Dru standing by my side. I guess he was going to follow me up.

“Is there something in this world that I don’t know?” I was recalled the car ride to the high school, the way Betsy talked about Dru, but now about Falcon. “Something between us? My friend knew you but she didn’t know Falcon.”

Dru looked down at the ground. “I hate to have to tell you this.” He kicked his foot backward, tapping it against the ground. “I’m the brother you chose.”

    “I’m your girlfriend?”

“Yes.” Dru smiled at me when he answered. “Just, be calm with Falcon, he might think you are about to kill him.”

    “Kill him?”

The elevator dang, and the doors opened.

“Going up?” Dru smiled, extending his hand toward the doors.

    “Coming?”

“No, I’ll take the stairs, that way I can be good back up.”

“Back up?” I didn’t get a chance to finish questioning him, the doors shut. I pressed the correct button and awaited my floor.

My heart was beating in my chest like a sledge hammer. I couldn’t breathe. What Dru had said was making me lean more toward the fact that Falcon may be evil.

I slowly, and quietly, walked down the hallways toward Falcon’s room. I saw him, he was standing there punching in his entry numbers.

Tiny locks of toe head hair brushed against his shatter blue eyes as he moved. His ivory skin was still like velvet as the small rays of light touched down on him from the small hallway window.

He pushed the door open and entered his dorm room. He was still a blonde, and that meant that he was still a half demon. Some things just don’t change. Could Dru and Falcon hate one another in this world? Is that what Sky change?

I was standing in front of his door. I wanted to knock. I raised my hand to knock, but I just couldn’t make myself do it. I was shaking from head to toe in shock. I kept thinking about what Dru had said.

The door opened just as I started to knock. I hit Falcon in the face.

“What was that for you bloody tit head?” Falcon seethed.

“How was I supposed to know you were going to open the door first?” I rebutted with an angry voice. Looks like we were back to our old ways in no time.

“What do you want?” Falcon asked staring me down.

“Falcon, do you remember me?” I asked. “Do you know my name?”

“Sam, I don’t have time for your stupid, little games!” Falcon replied. “How did you know where I live?”

“Skrying.” I tapped my foot against the floor nervously.

Falcon’s eyes lit up. “Is Dru with you, little De Dan?”

Oddly enough, Falcon didn’t seem to fear me, so, Dru had to be wrong about him thinking I was going to kill him. Beside, why would I want to kill Falcon?

“No, why would he be?” I asked in a coy voice.

“Come in.” Falcon raised an eyebrow in disbelief. “So, why did you feel the need to leave your boyfriend, and come see me?” Falcon shut and locked the door behind me.

“Dru isn’t my boyfriend.” I turned toward him. “You are.”

Falcon was still leaning against the door with his back to me. “Sky warned me about you. She told me that you were already won to the side of good.”

“Sky told me she was going to steal you from me. Then she put me in this world.”

“Sky said you couldn’t love a demon.” Falcon turned to face me. His eyes were sheer onyx. “But, I didn’t need Sky’s advice to know that, I mean, after all, you did try and kill me already.”

“Sky is wrong. I want you. I don’t care that you are half demon.” I smiled.

    “Prove it.”

“Whatever you want, I will do it.”

Falcon walked a small circle around me. It was like he was cornering his prey. “Let me kill you,” Falcon stated.

I looked at him in confusion. “You are crazy. Why would you want to kill me?”

“If I can’t make you evil then I don’t want you to stand in my way,” Falcon said coldly.

I ran for the door, but it was locked. Falcon pinned me against the hard wood. “I can hear him. His breathing is like an echo,” Falcon whispered into my ear. “You said he wasn’t with you.”

The door open beneath me, and I fell forward. Dru had been waiting on the other side of the door, just as promised. His tight, protective embrace cocooning me in safety. He had been right, Falcon thought I was going to murder him.

Quickly, Dru pushed me to the ground beside of him. “Run,” He demanded.

Awkwardly, I stood, brushed myself off, and started to run. I hadn’t thought that Falcon would try and kill me. Boy, did I need a wakeup call. I understood now, what Sky had done to steal my man, she made him the one thing I was still fighting to believe I could live with…evil.

He was evil now, but making Falcon evil didn’t change that I loved him. It just changed that I couldn’t be around him because he wanted to murder me!

I reached the main office, and stopped to look over my shoulder. Dru was fighting with his brother. What if Dru killed Falcon? Wait, they are immortal, you can’t kill them. Oh, great, I am so screwed! I can’t defend myself.

“Pretty-Kitty, why is the new Katherine McHarrison so weak?” I heard Falcon’s voice again. He called me Katherine, that stupid asshole!

“I am not Katherine! I am a different person.” I didn’t care that I was weak, and he was immortal. I was going to kick his ass. Falcon should know that I am not McHarrison. I am Sam. Samantha Morgan!

I balled my fist. “You are going to regret your words Falcon.” I was going to beat the good back into him. Someone get me a sledgehammer, I have some happy thoughts to implant!

“Stop, this is not going to work!” Dru shouted from behind me.

“What do you mean, Druskin?” Falcon asked.

“Let her choose, good or evil,” Dru replied walking up to me. He stepped in front of me, partially at least, to protect me in case Falcon lunged forward to attack again.

“What is the meat of the deal?” Falcon tilted his head as he spoke.

“We cannot force Samantha to choose, or seduce her into choosing.”

“No sex?” Falcon had a disappointed look on his face, but I’m sure mine was worse. I couldn’t sleep with either of my men?! This was totally not fair, I am a woman, I need sex and to feel loved.

“With anyone,” I interjected, thinking for a moment. I didn’t want the unhappy Falcon to go off on a “using women like tissues” spree because he couldn’t have me. “This is a deal about me so I get a say. You two can’t sleep with me or other people.”

“Pick a time or event to be the end date,” Dru commanded, sorrow was dancing in his eyes. Was he sad about losing me as a girlfriend, kind of losing me at least? No, way, Dru doesn’t really like me, I’m sure. He, he couldn’t have meant it when she said he loved me.

I rolled my eyes. “Prom,” I answered. Prom was always the big date in teen movies, so, why not? “And, on that whole sex note, I have a new add on. I can enjoy either of you just not going as far as sex. I don’t want to be forbidden to kiss or anything.”

“Yes.” Falcon smiled. “By prom, without any force, seduction, or…” He looked at Dru harshly. “Forbidding Samantha to see one of us…” Falcon looked at me again. “You, Samantha, will have to choose good or evil. Dru or I.”

“Deal,” We all three said in unison.

Falcon turned, and stormed off. The boy at the desk counter was in an unblinking stare, looking at me like I was flying off the freaking handle.

“Go back to work,” I hissed. Turning, I smiled up at Dru. “Dru, is the Sam of this world really your girlfriend?”

“Yes. Mazeena told me about your world. She said I wasn’t your, how did she phrase it, ‘Future Hubby Cherry Picker’ in your world.”

I giggled. That sounded like Mazeena. “So, you know in my world I love Falcon.”

“Don’t worry.” Dru grinned. “I’ll win you back. We are hand fasted after all.”

“hand fasted? We’re married?” I think the world had just came to a crashing halt!

Since this is a later project I will not post the lines all at the same time there will be gaps between them. I would advise
you to read the teasers and try to fill out the characters that you can in them and the storyline. I post off and on when
    I can.

If when I being the casting for these roles you are interested you need to make sure you can fill the posted open roles
do not waste my time if you do not fit all of the listed needs. It will make you discredible and I will not want to consider
you in the future. I feel this way, even if you don't like it, if you can't read the need and know you fill them or don't fill
them I will assume you cannot read or are too unintelligent to understand the meaning of the words. I don't cast people
    who cannot read!

If you don't speak English at all don't waste my time I will not hire a translator for you don't apply for a job you can't do the
work for it shows a lack of intelligence and wastes my time and my time is limited and valuble.

If when applications start you will turn the correct age for the part within 1 month of the time the filming starts I will allow
you to apply but you will be asked to PROVE your age :)

If you are from outside of the USA and you are a felon you cannot apply the USA will not let you into America and I'm not
going to fly my crew overseas just for one person

If you are a felon in the USA I will consider you so long as you did not commit a violent, sexual or child related crime. I will
not take beaters, violent people, pedophiles or sex offenders even if it is a low rank.

After Arched Wing I will be doing screening drug and alcohol tests. I will screen you randomly during the shoots too so you
better be okay with that! If you are under 21, even from outside of the USA and you are positive for alcohol you are in big
trouble with me and I will not cast you. I will not allow any drugs! If you have a green card do not apply because even with
a green card you will be breaking my no drugs policy. Besides I film mostly in Wyoming and it does not allow green cards
and voids all green cards during the time you are in the state. Being caught with even something small like MJ in Wyoming
is a five year in prison sentence that I will not spare you from I think doing drugs is wrong and I'm a bold honest person
and I don't want a drug user on my set!

I will do background checks so be willing to have one done on you :)

For those who are in the live audition area come in and do a live audition. For those who are not doing a filmed audition
I cast out of state a lot because although it may cost more I don't have to worry about someone calling in at the last min.
because they went out and partied with friends and are drunk

You will have a fraternization contract. If at any point in time you wish to enter into a relationship with a crew member, cast
member or boss and both partners are willing you must sign a contract stating that the owner Katherine Petersdorf cannot
be held in anyway accountable and the productions company will not be held accountable for anything that happens and that
both of you entered into the contract without sexual harassment and that you will not file sexual harassment or having a
lawsuit with Featherless Productions or Katherine Petersdorf for any reason!

You must be 18 or older to do the above. If there is any sex with minors even if they are both minors I putting it in the law's
hands so don't break the law and sleep with minors!

If you smoke you have to tell me before hand or you will get a room that is non-smoking if you get a hotel! I do not like smoking
and I am not going to go out of my way to help you smoke. If you smoke on set you have to be 50 feet from the building
and or location at all time. You CANNOT leave your butts behind when you come back from a smoking break I will ask to see
your butts and I will have a garbage bag for them. If you are under 18 you CANNOT smoke and if I find you smoking I will
    turn you in!

You will have to sign a disclosure contract that states you will not share the scripts until I release them same with the books.
Those cast get to read everything even if it is not on the shelves so you can't go around ruining the story. This applies to
pictures from set you have to get an okay from me to post them

You will have to sign a property agreement promising not to take the set pieces, props and materials home. They are ours
so unless they were yours to being with you can't mess with them.

If you are a minor a legal guardian will have to sign an agreement forum. This state’s you understand requirements of the
role and will not hinder your child from performing them. That you will abide by all the rules. You will not undermine the
director and will not tell child different stage direction. That you will not make your child try to steal the spotlight if it is not
their turn. That you will make sure you child is behaved! That the day the actor turns 18 you are kicked off set and if you had
travel covered you are sent home. I only permit a single parent on set and only when they are a child. It costs for each person
I have on set and I don't believe in wasting money.

Legal Guardians must be at each shoot while they have a minor and MUST be within 75 feet of child. If a work permit is needed
the parent must inform the owner they do or do not have one or the fault of their child loosing the job due to being unable
to work is on them. We pay for permits, don't worry :)

Legal Guardians must prove they are the parent of the child.

If you are claiming to be a USA citizen you must be able to prove it, I need proof you are form where you say you are to
get a work VISA if you are not from USA

When you sign up for a contract with more than one movie you sign up for all the movies your role is featured in! I will not
make an exception on it at all. You enter into all of them with the same rate of pay for each and then I will offer you a raise
as each movie comes to the next feature. You cannot ask for more than what I offer and if you don't take what I offer you
are contracted to be stuck at the original pay rate.

If you ask for a payment or get a payment on a non-pay period payment day you have to sign a receipt contract stating
you have your payment, the checks/money orders or whatever are photo copied and saved as proof. You will have to have
two on set witnesses sign as well :) If you want to be paid at the end of each film day ask me and I'll say yes but you have
to ask 45 days in advance for each film date or I will say no and you are contracted to stay on the payment period plan

If you don't come to set you don't get paid!

You only get paid for days you are filming!

I can replace you anytime I want to if you are unable to do the role or get fired

You will have to agree to maintain your appearance. If we get you a cut and color don't lop it all off and dye it pink!

You can do other things so long as they don't conflict with my film dates :)

You cannot do porn or anything illegal while working for Featherless Productions. Now I do not consider doing tasteful
pictures like Maxim porn or tasteful nudes porn but if you are doing something nude ask me about it that is the best
    thing to do

I don't mind actors wanting to add things to the contracts, I have for others in the past with Arched Wing but as a warning
I may not say yes to everything and I may reword it from what you have. There are some things I will not negotiate on.
If you ask for something crazy like to be paid for travel days while you are sitting on an airplane it is not going to happen
we pay your travel bill don't ask for more. Anytime you ask for something that is asking for more money expect to get shot
    down, just a friendly warning.

I don't mind actors asking for single billing in credits, but don't ask for it on posters and not every actor will get it I can only
offer it so many times and the stars get first dibs.

I don't mind having to tell you about changes in film days so long as you don't ask for more than a 45 day advance notice
And that you know it doesn't apply until after the first film day because getting to that first film day requires changes all
    the time

If you are a minor and have to attend high school or lower you get a tutor on set but only if you are a minor!

If you live more than 350 miles from a film location we cover travel for you. Don't up and go I will only travel by plane because
FYI we get to pick the travel and I will not budge on that one a good deal of the time expect the bus, sorry that is the breaks.

If you live less than 350 miles a great example is living outside of Denver and traveling to Laramie WY it is a lot of money to travel just talk with us we can work something out like a short bus ride or gas payment cards.

If you have to stay more than one night we get you a hotel room. Warning you do not get to pick the hotel room and those
who are not minors do not have to share hotel rooms. So don't throw a fit when it is not five star, okay! Also it will only
be paid for you, or for the minor and one parent. No pets and no other family.

If you have a hotel you get a meal card. It is, depending on the amount of time $10-$25 a night and is a gift card or visa
for you to buy food with. We will pick a place that is a good match for the hotel you are at or at least do our best to :)

If you get kicked out of or miss your travel type you are on your own. We will not pay for travel a second time and you STILL have
    to be at the shoot

If you get kicked out of your hotel you are on your own finding a place to stay during the film dates and yes you still have
    to film!

We have a catering table on set if you are allergic to something tell me so I can make sure we do not have it there. Let's say
you are deathly allergic to peanut butter and you don't tell me and I have peanut butter there I am so not responsible for
what happens because you didn't step up to bat and say I can't get near it! got it?

No pets and No kids (unless they are in movie) I'm only paying for you OR, minor and one parent. Don't give me a but my
boyfriend wants to come it is not going to happen.

If you are over 18 you will not be permitted family. Sorry, life happens. So if family does come along they must pay for their
OWN travel, their OWN hotel, their OWN food and oh yes, they are not given security passes for set so security it's going
to let them come on set.

Do not come to set drunk, hung over or high. That is a good way to get fired.

If two people on set have a conflict bring it to me because if you two start freaking out and causing trouble on set you
    will BOTH be canned.

Even if you don't like someone on set tell me hey I don't get along well with them but learn to deal a little. I'll do my best
to buffer and make people get along but in life you often have to deal with people you don't like

Understand that if someone is a big name or is above the title they are going to get some special treatment that you
don't. That is life, that is the breaks and it is going to happen in every acting job you have from now until the day you
die! If you can't handle someone with the bigger part getting a little bit more you shouldn't be in Hollywood, pack your
bags and go home, don't waste my time with petty problems like jealousy.

Also be aware that you are entering into a film business life on TV is rough. You can loose a part for the smallest and
stupidest things sometimes. If you audition I will say sorry you didn't get the part if you are not going to be cast. If you
ask me why I will tell you but I promises you whatever it is you will NOT like it. Casting Directors are rough, brutally honest,
cold hearted and sharp. Deal with it because if you can't take someone pointing out your flaws, telling you that you aren't
good enough and then giving you the cold shoulder you WILL NOT make it in the film world.

Read my casting pet peeves page because if you strike on one of them you can bet you are not getting the job. Sorry it is the
facts, I am the boss not you and get the final say not you. I am brutally honest and straight forward if you don't like it then
don't work for me. I can be a laughing happy go lucky have fun girl but when it comes time to be serious I am scary serious.

If you lie about your clothing size and then I buy costumes and they don't fit I will fire you! I hate when people lie about
their clothing size for a job!

Read the filming in Wyoming Warning list you will need it!
